"Scottish mountain goat", wild was not the word, I thought it was going to go for me.

I can't quite understand why these animals are still referred to as "feral" and not "wild goats". After all we don't say "feral" Rabbits yet their arrival here was much the same. The goats have now been here for hundreds of years and I don't see why they aren't as "wild" as any other member of our fauna now.

Perhaps after so long breeding in the wild they now they deserve a new name........I propose Scottish Mountain Goat if any taxonomists are reading this please comment!

I must admit that 'Scottish Mountain Goat' sounds much better and makes more sense now that I am a little better informed. I have now changed the wording on the post to suit. We don't get them here on the east coast so I was in the dark as to their origins.
